Prospect is a generic faceted browser builder for Linked Data stores. It uses the SPARQL query language and works with both local or remote RDF systems. Prospect is the first faceted navigation system that offers simple point and click customization through your web browser.

Linked data offers a set of best practices for publishing, sharing and linking data and information on the web. It is based on use of http URIs and semantic web standards such as RDF. For some web developers the need to understand the RDF data model and associated serializations and query language (SPARQL) has proved a barrier to adoption of linked data.

In addition to the classic “Web of documents” W3C is helping to build a technology stack to support a “Web of data,” the sort of data you find in databases. The ultimate goal of the Web of data is to enable computers to do more useful work and to develop systems that can support trusted interactions over the network. The term “Semantic Web” refers to W3C’s vision of the Web of linked data.

XSPARQL is a query language combining XQuery and SPARQL for transformations between RDF and XML. XSPARQL subsumes XQuery and most of SPARQL (excluding ASK and DESCRIBE). This document defines the XSPARQL language.

This document describes SPARQL/Update, an update language for RDF graphs. It uses a syntax derived form SPARQL. Update operations are performed on a collection of graphs in a Graph Store. Operations are provided to change existing RDF graphs as well as create and remove graphs with the Graph Store.

SPARQL can be used to express queries across diverse data sources, whether the data is stored natively as RDF or viewed as RDF via middleware.

Semantic MediaWiki includes an easy-to-use query language which enables users to access the wiki's knowledge. The syntax of this query language is similar to the syntax of annotations in Semantic MediaWiki. This query language can be used on the special page Special:Ask or in inline queries.
